The Chasm

If you are travelling on Highway 97 between 100 Mile House and Clinton you must take time to do a short detour to see Chasm Provincial Park.

Here you can see the different soil layers in different colours.  Photos do not do it justice.

The Chasm is protected by a fence to keep motorized vehicles out plus to keep tourists from falling in.

There are several lookouts and a picnic area nearby.

Here we can see the trees growing up the sides where ever they can get a toehold.

It is like our own mini Grand Canyon except with trees and much smaller.  ;)

It is only a few kilometres off the highway to see this breathtaking vista.
